A Day At Maymont

On Saturday, August 12, we finally had a reprieve from the butter humidity we had been sopping through for the past few weeks. We took full advantage and took a day trip to Maymont Park in Richmond. It was a beautiful and pleasant day for it.




We strolled through the Children's Farm first, much to Sonya's delight. At first she was more enamored with the animal mural, but once she saw moving ones, the fun began. The first animals she spied were the chickens and she promptly strutted up to them and "BAAACKKK"ed like one!!! Then it was on to the goats, watching the little ones romp around. She wasn't keen on touching any of them. Not just yet.




It was a fabulous day to enjoy the sunshine and company (Unky Munkey and his girl!) culminating in a picnic lunch and long nap home.
