An Eventuality

Right, so...it's been a while. Too much going on to find time for posting it all. So here I am, a moment to let all know what is up.

We are moving!! Maybe. Eventually. Sometime. Brandon has secured a position at an architectural installation company (fancy name for custom cabinetry and installation) in Lexington, Kentucky, called Leininger. It was a great interview, with a good chance of immediate promotion following his first 30 days. He started his position 2 weeks ago, leaving me like a military wife to sell the house and carry on with the youngin. No problem, I can handle it, but it is going to take some serious prayer to get this house sold. The market here in Northern VA is very slow, so I'm buckling in for a long haul without our protector/provider. Anybody have a dog I can borrow?

Sonya has been doing ok without her daddy, but there have definitely been days that she wanders around the house calling for him. She talks to him on the phone every night, or rather carries the phone around the house with Brandon on the other line, and every now and then she remembers he is there and says,"Hi!" So cute. We believe this is the right move for us, not only as an awesome opportunity for Brandon to be using his true talent, but hopefully provide the chance for me to be at home with Sonya, at least for a little while. Hopefully the trauma to get there won't be too emotionally damaging for her, but you have to wonder how much will she remember.

Here are a few pictures of the family at Belvedere during October. Sonya had a great time playing in the pebble box with Uncle Jon, and in the hay with Unkey Munkey (Nathan). Hopefully we will have many more memorable moments like this one before we make the nine hour trek to our new home. Maybe. One day. Eventually.

That is so cool. I hope the house sells and you can join him soon. I often wonder about the long distance thing too when Kris goes away for short periods of time. My kids are used to his hairy scedule now.
Sonya's hair is so long. I can't believe how big she's getting. She doesn't have that baby look about her anymore. So beautiful. Thanks for letting us know what's been going on.
