Amazing Love, How Can It Be?

Sonya has been so receptive to the Bible. It was fondly dubbed the "Fifle," similar to a character from one of Grammy's movies, but has been enunciated better to include "b"s. She comes running into my room carrying this gargantuous book, yelling, "Bible stowies!!!" So precious. There have been several mornings in which the dishes are still in the sink, the laundry still in the basket, the house still dirty, and the two of us still in bed, reading and reading about "God" and "Noah" and "Jesus" and "Moses..." and all the animals she sees on every page! Some writers know how to grab a little one's attention! But, hey, what could be more important than communing with the one who loves us more than we could imagine. For some of us that is alot, and for others, unfathomable that He would stoop so low. I love watching her innocent smiles when she talks about who God loves. What does she really think beyond what I am teaching her? How sweet to think that as young as she is, she is still capable, through the Holy Spirit, of having a genuine love for an amazing God and to begin to understand for Him to love her back so much more. How awesome! I can't wait for more of these moments.
